Bookkeeper (Term)
Full-time (April 2024 - May 2025) Hybrid $65,000 - $85,000 annually

Position Overview
The Bookkeeper is responsible for managing and maintaining NNDDC and its subsidiaries’ daily
financial transactions, maintaining financial records, and general bookkeeping functions. The
Bookkeeper will report to the Chief Financial Officer.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter that thrives in independent settings, is flexible enough to
operate across multiple different industry lines, different entities, and has the ability to
strategically work on files that may be outside their financial tasks.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Bookkeeping duties:
Management of the Quickbooks Online files of NNDDC and its subsidiaries
Management of Accounts Payable – inputting invoices, programming payments via EFT, wire transfer, etc. to vendors
Management of Accounts Receivable – obtaining reporting from partners, generating invoices, processing payments, following up on accounts
Recording and reconciling intercompany sales and expenses
Intercompany account reconciliations
Preparing and submitting government remittances (Payroll, GST, Corporate tax instalments)
Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Collaborating with other departments to provide financial information and to support decision-making processes
Other responsibilities assigned by the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, or Chief Reinvestment Officer
Administrative duties:
Maintain accurate financial records and statements for all business transactions, as per NNDDC’s required digital and paper filing systems and naming conventions
Frequent email and telephone liaising with partners, vendors and other third parties as needed
Other administrative and project related tasks as required
Conditions of Employment
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum of Two (2) years’ related experience in accounting or bookkeeping
Skills and Experience
Minimum Two (2) years’ experience with Microsoft Office and Quickbooks Online
Experience with Google Drive, Adobe Acrobat, online banking platforms, Plooto, and Click-Up is preferred
Able to work independently and take initiative
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing
Understanding of and respect for financial controls and procedures mandated by NNDDC
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Location
This is a hybrid role, with some time expected in office at Waterfront Station, 2237 2nd Ave,
Whitehorse, working alongside the finance team, and some time working remotely. Full-time
remote work for the right candidate will be considered.
