With gratitude for the work that has been accomplished during his time with us, we announce that Jamie Forester has left his position of Store Manager of Mayo Foods. Jamie’s sudden departure is due to an unfortunate family matter in which NNDDC wholeheartedly respects and upholds the need to prioritize family in all matters.
Jamie joined the NNDDC team in August of 2024, and since then has been a valued member of the community in leading Mayo Foods. In addition to supporting the development of a Mayo Foods web page on nnnddc.ca, Jamie helped introduce a social media page for Mayo Foods in which he shared recipes, weekly sales, and ran holiday contests. Jamie has led the team at Mayo Foods and supported the community of Mayo with multiple community-giving sponsorships during his time. This work has been integral to strengthening Mayo Foods’ ties to the community, and there is every intention to continue Jamie’s great work.
“My time in Mayo has been phenomenal. I’ve been grateful to experience this land and community, but unfortunately circumstances have required me to return home suddenly. Thank you to the entire NNDDC team for your support and hospitality. I came here with the belief that community grocery stores are more than just a store, they’re a key part of community infrastructure. I can’t wait to see how Mayo Foods comes to grow in the coming year. Mussi Cho.”

In the meantime, Eric Büttner will be acting as Interim Store Manager. NNDDC is working hard to ensure the same quality of products and services are provided during this interim period.
